The Joint Center for Housing Studies of Harvard University and the Remodeling Futures Program have released the Loading Indicator of Remodeling Activity (LIRA).
According to the LIRA homeowners are going to spend less and less money on house improvements and remodeling.
Remodeling activity isn’t going up until the home market starts to improve.
The LIRA is used to estimate national homeowner spending on house improvements. It’s released by the Remodeling Futures Program at Harvard University in the third week after each quarter. Next time the indicator will be released on October, 15 2009.
